Psytrance也叫做 Psychedelic trance， 是一種電子音樂的流派。在90年代早期， 它主要從Goa trance發(fā)展而來，并逐步進(jìn)入主流音樂的范圍。Planet Dog record 這個廠牌下的Timeshard 和 Eat Static等被認(rèn)為是對其最有影響力的Goa Trance音樂家。最早的純Psytrance 來自于 Dragonfly Records這個廠牌下的音樂藝人。
Psytrance音樂的速度通常較快，一般在135到150 BPM（ beat per minute 拍每分鐘）Psytrance強調(diào)通過音樂帶來創(chuàng)造一種獨特的氛圍，而給人帶來獨特的精神體驗。在制作上，Psytrance通常較多地使用軟件采樣器，VST插件，軟件音序器等，而不像它的前身Goa trance，較多使用硬件合成器。
Psytrance在英國，以色列，葡萄牙，墨西哥，德國，日本等國家最為流行。而在其他一些國家，Psytrance就沒有Uplifting trance和 Progressive Trance那么流行。
